Week Night Meals Breakfast/Brunch Main Dish

Brunch Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 Brioche Buns
  • 4 Tbsp Soft Butter
  • 1 Large Yellow Onion
  • 2 Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1/4 cup HP Steak Sauce
  • 1.5 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 1 Large Sliced Tomato
  • 1 lb. Ground Beef
  • 8 Strips of Bacon
  • 4 Tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 8 Slices Taylor Ham
  • 1 Avocado
  • 4 large Eggs
  • Salt and Pepper (to taste)
  • Tony's Butcher Salt

Preparation

Prepare Onion Relish:

  1. Thinly slice onions. Heat olive oil in saute pan until shimmering. Turn heat to low, add onions and cover. Cook until onions are cooked through, soft and starting to caramelize. Add HP Sauce and 1.5 Tbsp Maple Syrup to pan. Stir well and heat until hot and bubbling. Remove from heat and set aside.

Bake Bacon:

  1. Heat oven to 350°. Place bacon on foil lined baking sheet and drizzle 4 Tbsp Maple syrup over the top of the bacon. Bake in oven until bacon is brown and crispy. Remove from heat, place bacon on paper towel lined plate to drain.

The Burger:

  1. Spread butter on both sides of Brioche buns.
  2. Divide hamburger into 4 equal patties and season well with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook Burger to your liking.
  4. While burger is cooking, place Taylor ham in large frying pan to heat through until just starting to brown. Cook eggs in separate pan until done to your liking.
  5. Slice Tomato into 4 slices.
  6. Cut Avocado and remove pit, cut into 4 pieces and remove skin, slice each into thin slices.
  7. Toast buttered buns on grill.

Assembly:

  1. Place the bottom bun on plate.
  2. Top with 1/4 of onion relish, sliced tomato, burger patty, bacon, Taylor ham, avocado slices and egg.
  3. Grind Fresh pepper on top and sprinkle with generous pinch of Tony’s butcher salt.
  4. Place top bun on top of it all.
  5. Grab extra Napkins and ENJOY!
