Grapefruit and Avocado Salad With Rose Dressing

  • 1 large pink grapefruit
  • 2 firm-ripe avocados
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 2 tablespoons rose water, or to taste (available at Tony’s)
  • Fine sea salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground white pepper to taste
  • Edible rose petals or flowers for garnish, if desired


Over a bowl to catch the juice, remove the peel, including pith, of the grapefruit, and cut it into sections. Arrange the grapefruit on 4 serving plates.

Peel the avocados and cut them into thick slices. Arrange on plates with grapefruit.

In a bowl, combine the grapefruit juice with the limejuice, rose water, and salt.

Season each salad with the white pepper and spoon on the dressing. Decorate with rose petals before serving.
